This truly outstanding altarpiece of renowned quality and interest has its own personality inasmuch as it possesses several singular characteristics that have made the task of establishing its origins a very difficult one. It is generally accepted, however, that the altarpiece comes from the general area of the Antwerp manufacturing source and dates from the beginning of the XVI century.
